How bad was The Grudge?
Really bad. Awful. How awful?
- It’s so bad that if people say they like it, I would probably never trust their judgement on other issues.
- It’s so bad that if a friend of mine said that he/she liked it, I would seriously consider changing my phone number and not giving it to him/her.
- It’s so bad that people who say they like it are to be treated with suspicion, perhaps even put on a government watch list.
- It’s so bad that while the credits were just starting to roll, couples were already arguing about who was to blame for the decision to see the movie.
- It’s so bad that I lost count of the number of times people laughed, and counted only one time there was a real scare (the first time).
- It’s so bad that instead of leaving, I decided to stay to have more time to think of new ways that it stunk.
- It’s so bad that I actually got online so I could tell others how bad it was, in case any of them were considering seeing it later that night.
- It’s so bad that the only truly scary thing about it was that there is a sequel.
I will probably think of more, but those are the ones that came to me immediately.

Please note that the Japanese version -was- actually scary—or at least I thought so. It’s actually quite different, when you think about it for a while. And the Japanese sequel is just plain weird, if indeed pretty good.

That’s true, I haven’t seen the original and wouldn’t be surprised at all if the original was better (isn’t that almost always the case?).

Bah, This movie sucked… Not scary at all… Not worth anyone’s money…
Anyways, this movie did not scare ol’ Abel… Infact, I’ve seen just about every horror flick out thewre, and the old black and white ones were better than this, seriously…
