Every now and again I try Firefox instead of Opera.

I never last more than a day.

Maybe I’m just unlucky, but Firefox seems to, well, fail.

One of the biggest things everyone always touts is the extensions. Oh sweet Jesus the extensions. Anything you don’t like about your life or the world or, perhaps, even the browser, can be fixed with extensions.

So today I decided to try the Fast Video Download extension to see if I would let me save some videos rather than me having to go rooting around in the cache folder.

It didn’t seem to work, so I hunted around until I found the preferences window for it:

Ah, well there’s a sense of simplicity that even Steve Jobs could love.

So, yet again, Firefox fails me.

Yeah I realize there are 10^1000 people out there who will immediately tell me that I did something wrong, or am an idiot, or whatever. Maybe there’s a simple fix that if I just go to about:config and tell it to switch some weird hidden preference from 0 to 1 then it will all work out.

2.0.0.7 (double license to kill?)
