I have created a short Quicktime movie showing how to re-order the panel selectors (press F4 to open/close panels).
The process should be very simple. Hold down the shift key (this is shown using the Windows on-screen keyboard) and then click-drag the panel selector to whatever order you want them to appear.

This is rather cool information, but it hardly requires a video. If you were making a movie to learn how to that’s great, but writing “(you can do so by shift+click and dragging the icons)” at the end of the post would have saved me the 30 seconds it took to view the source of the page and download the video (for some reason the quicktime plugin didn’t work for me, using Opera 8.5). Keep up the good work though, I’m hoping that this video is the precursor for a whole series of videos? Perhaps on Opera9?

Jaymis: I have updated the post to include a written description which I should have done in the first place except that as soon as I posted it I realized that there were problems with getting it to appear.
I went online (26,400 dialup) and was looking for solutions to how to embed Quicktime in a way which will work for the most number of browsers and be standards compliant.
(Note: I have updated the embed code since Jaymis posted his comment and hope that it will now work with 8.5, it does here.)
The markup now is working, but not valid.

What would work in all browsers on earth would be a link to the movie file.

But for so tiny movie as this, I think using simple animated GIF would have been even better choice.

Actually, TjL developed that video as the result of an email conversation with me … and it was the key to figuring out why I was having a problem. You see, long ago I turned off that bar that shows the sidebars as icons, and I forgot it existed.
I can’t see why anyone would have that bar on, since it eats a lot of screen space and adds no significant functionality. But, different strokes …
It’s a little tricky to manage that bar; if you right-click on it and select “Customize” and turn it off, it turns off the whole sidebar. You have to pick “View” “Toolbars” “Customize” then click on that tool bar and select “Off” from the drop-down list. To get it back, since it doesn’t have a name (is it the only toolbar that doesn’t?) you must get into the toolbar customization dialog one way or another and check “Show hidden toolbars while customizing”. Then you can click on it and select a position form the drop-down list.
